Cmon Hackers. Leave Games Alone!

Why do people want to mess with our games? Hack anything else you want just leave our games alone!
Here is what the SEA (Syrian Electronic Army) did to the XBOX ONE.

Eddie Makuch writes if you noticed some strange tweets from Microsoft accounts this weekend, it's because the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) hacked some of the company's Twitter pages, it has been revealed. The SEA is a pro-Syria hacking collective that uses various cyber-attack methods to subvert the objectives of major entities such as Microsoft.

The group released a series of tweets from the Xbox Support account, including messages that read, "Syrian Electronic Army Was Here" and "Game On!" The SEA also posted a screenshot through its own Twitter account seeming to show that it had access to not only the Xbox Support Twitter account, but the Xbox Twitter and Instagram accounts as well.

The cyber attacks, which were addressed in a matter of minutes, also focused on the official Microsoft News Twitter account, as well as the company's TechNet Blog site. The hacking group also posted images of emails Microsoft employees sent to each other regarding the security breach.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to Mashable that no customer information was compromised

Meanwhile, an SEA member told Mashable that it put Microsoft in its cross-hairs for this attack because it claims the company is "monitoring email accounts and selling the data for the American intelligence and other governments."

"And we will publish more details and documents that prove it," the statement from SEA goes on. "Microsoft is not our enemy but what they are doing affected the SEA."

Microsoft responded to this claim, as it has done before, by saying it only shares customer data when it is required to do so from a legal perspective
